April 15th marked our one year anniversary of living in our house in Ferndale and we couldn’t be happier. It was also Jason’s birthday month (yes, month), and we celebrated both by adding some lovely flora and foliage to our yard.
I never thought we would be those people who bought plants as gifts. Probably because Jason is very particular about gifts not being of the practical sort and because I have a deeper appreciation for large spans of green grass than I do for annuals and perennials (except dahlias). But there seemed to be a happy medium this past year as we bought a wonderful Camilia to celebrate our two years of marriage and then countless plants to celebrate Jason’s 29 years of life this April. Oh, and let’s not forget that we named our daughter Clover; and she has a beautiful orchid blooming in her bedroom, courtesy of her great grandpa. There are all sorts of buds and blooms popping up at the Curry house.
